Background: Ticker doesn’t remember much of his life before he was taken to Arcadia. In fact he remembers that he was a butler for a wealthy family, somewhere in on the East Coast… but that was back in 1962. And while it’s fuzzy, he thinks he was taken by the Gentry to teach a lesson to the family he worked for… but he isn’t sure.
The Genty that took him changed his body, make him a clockwork servant. It was in this painful and horrifying conversion that the majority years spent in Arcadia occurred.. even though to him it only seemed a year.
However, shortly after making Ticker what he is, that Gentry lost Ticker in a bet to one, Countess Adeline Glace. He was taken to l'Hiver Gelé, where he served as her butler for almost a decade.
During that time he was known to often help and be kind to the other Changelings in her realm. In the latter part of his service, one Alexandre du Y’sera organized an escape. Ticker was to be part of that escape, but a situation arose that the escape would have failed. Ticker stayed behind and provided a distraction to Countess Adeline Glace, and thus allowed the group to get away.
But inspired by their escape he made his own a short time after. And found himself in St. Louis. He no longer fits into human society, and the world has changed so much since he last walked in it. So he only interacts with the other Changelings… those who can understand what happened to him.
