Concept: Quiet and feral predator. Something of a hermit.

Entitlement:

Physical description: Tinsel's true mien is tall and wiry, but he is oddly constructed, with limbs disproportionately lengthy for his normal-sized torso. His fingers and toes are also abnormally long. His skin is a dull black with irregular ridges on the arms, legs, and back, his eyes are likewise black and are uniform with no apparent pupils, and his teeth are sharp and unusually numerous. He has no external ears, and his body is hairless. He is usually draped in two or more layers of long, heavy, dark colored cloaks that hang close about his slender frame.

Mask: To the unensorcelled Tinsel appears to be a tall, gaunt, elderly African-American man with exceedingly dark skin, sunken eyes, and short, tightly curled silvery-grey hair. He typically seems to be wearing long, threadbare coats and well-worn but sturdy boots. He retains his feral instincts in either form.

Character Information

Tinsel is generally quiet and standoffish when in large groups, and much of his communication with others is non-verbal. He has been known to react in unpredictable ways to otherwise normal stimuli, is usually visibly "on edge", and often seems to be remote from the social happenings around him.

Known History

Those few attempts that have been made over the years to get Tinsel to open up about his past have been largely unsuccessful, primarily because of Tinsel's obvious reluctance to speak about it, or even to speak at all. It is known that he was a long-time Bondthrall of The Goat, a particularly sadistic member of the Gentry, and he has intimated that his purpose was to remain deep in the cellars and dungeons of the Goat's mountain fortress and act as a sort of "pest control". Vermin being rather more dangerous in the land of Fae than in the land of mortals, he was forced to become a vicious and feral predator in order to survive.

Since his appearance in Atlantic City a few years ago Tinsel has been a fairly solitary individual. He has generally remained well clear of the Freehold proper except for special events, and is assumed to have some sort of residence out in the 'wilds' of the city. He has reacted violently in the past when the possibility of his recapture by the Goat has been mentioned or, worse yet, joked about, and his defense of the Freehold and surrounding environs when threatened by the forces of any of the Gentry has been uniformly frenzied and gory.
