Although new to the Camarilla, David got his start in the roleplaying world in 1998, and the LARP world in 2000. His first exposure to actual tabletop roleplaying came in January of 2001 (he thinks, though he's starting not to trust his own memory) by way of second-edition D&D (which actually ended up being a rather sour experience), and it would take another two years before getting back into any form of tabletop.

In the summer of 2004, he began a three-year career at the Toronto Harbourfront Centre's Dungeons and Dragons day camp, assuming the role as the Master of the Young Adventurers' Guild, taking special pride in providing an introduction and instruction to first-time roleplayers (perhaps in an attempt to vindicate his own experiences). During his time at Harbourfront, he imposed a meta-play over the camp; they were not merely at Harbourfront's D&D Camp, but were members of the Harbourfront Adventurers' Guild, with the counsellors styled as Guildmasters and Knights of the Order of Harbourfront. In his third and final year at Harbourfront, his leadership as the Senior Guildmaster came to the fore, implementing a Dungeon Master training program open to older or more experienced adventurers (as well as members of the Counsellor-in-Training program) tailored specifically to each participant, in order to grant hands-on experience to what will hopefully become the next generation of Storytellers. He was pulled out of his de facto retirement in March of 2007 for one last hurrah as the Headmaster of the Adventurers' Guild.

He graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Music, in 2006, where he majored in music history and theory and minored in East Asian studies, often finding opportunities to combine the two fields of study in his research. His independent studies have included the historical, cultural, and social contexts of video game music and the influence of Western music on Japan and China during the period of modernization. He has a professional interest in conducting and composition, particularly in the fields of video game and film scores.

In the summer of 2007, he spent a month adventuring in Japan, the core of which was a homestay in the beautiful mountain town of Sutama-cho, Yamanashi-ken, assisting a family and a London, Ontario-based teacher with an annual summer camp. He functioned as a special guest for English and music.

He is also one of the Art Room Coordinators/Art Show Directors of Anime North, and is always looking for new work and artists to showcase.

David wishes for a pony and a rocketship.
