The Vineyard Foundation was formed in 1963 by a gentleman named Robert Wilson. Robert Wilson was a Fairest Muse who ruled the Low Grass Court for over a decade. He is one of the reasons Fresno stayed in the two court system, rather than seasonal like so many others. Robert Wilson was assassinated by a loyalist of the Lady of Fog and Dust, though others argue the individual was not a loyalist and acting on behalf of the Autumn Court. In his life after escaping Arcadia, Robert Wilson was able to accumulate a lot of wealth through a company he owned that transported and packaged grapes and wine for the local vineyards. In his death, his wife Harriett Wilson became owner, but most of his wealth, was left to a foundation Harriett was left to head called the Vineyard Foundation.
The Foundation as a whole is a living memoriam to Robert Wilson. It funds the Americana he was always so fond of, like little league teams and fourth of July celebrations. Over the years, with Harriett’s gentle hand the Vineyard foundation has extended their helpful hand to those less fortunate, supporting homeless shelters and half way houses through out Fresno and its surrounding Counties. Some believe this was an influence of the struggle the Lost are forced to endure.
Ultimately, Robert Wilson wanted to ensure those who escaped Arcadia would have a safe place to live, would be warm, and never starving. The Vineyard Foundation owns the Sample Sanitarium. (Dr. Sample himself rumored to have been a Chirugeon and once a King of the Low Grass as well.) The Vineyard Foundation is ultimately a front for the Changelings of Fresno, though it is controlled by mortals, most who are related to those who were taken, or married to them. In that sense it has given them a support network, where they can deal with the oddities that their loved ones have become. Over the years many of the Vineyard Foundation have been ensorcelled, while many have not.
It has been over forty years since Robert Wilson passed away, and though the Vineyard Foundation has depleted the original money donated to it, through the other members and predominantly the continued support of Harriet Wilson, the Vineyard Foundation has been able to continue on, helping the Lost, and preserving the goodness of America.
Harriett Wilson
App: Harriett is an older woman, more in her 70’s. She is thin and elegant for her age. She possesses a classic beauty and grace, and is far from some wacky eccentric.
Harriet is a widower, her husband was once among the Lost of Fresno, and was King of the Low Grass Court. She was ensorcelled by him for over a decade, and he was one of Fresno’s longest surviving members of the old freehold. She has refused to be ensorcelled since his death.
Suzanna Campa
App: A larger Mexican lady in her mid 40’s. She has a very motherly demeanor, though is very stern, and is known to be a whirlwind of emotions when she is angry.
Suzanna is head curator at Arte America’s. She has been known to have a vast collection of Aztec artifacts in her office at home, a personal collection. She is also a lecturer at Fresno State College and is considered an expert on Aztec and Central American art. She is the mother of four children, two are currently in college, and 1 is still at home with her. Her eldest was taken and returned just prior to 2000. He was slain in the last battle, and is the individual who wrote the note to the Lost suggesting they form a Seasonal Freehold. She is the most recent member of the foundation.
Taylor Senna
App: Taylor is a pretty average looking man, he is now in his 40’s and still has a thick head of black hair. He usually wears a collared shirt and tie, with slacks or dockers. Depending on the season he’ll wear a sports coat. He drives a Prius.
Taylor currently sits on the Fresno City Council. He’s been a councilman for sometime, and prior worked in the mayors office on various city projects. He is a supporter of Fresno City College and often is at their various functions through the year. Taylor was once a Bull dog at Fresno State, and graduated from there with honors. His Mother was taken to Arcadia after he was born; her return was a strange transition for Taylor and his father. Taylor was very young when she escaped, and saw the troubles of her return. She died while he was a teen, and knew she had an extended family among the Sanitarium. He devoted himself to being able to help her and those like her.
Donald Jackson
App: Donald is an African American man in his early 30’s. He often wears nice clothing suits and the like. His hair is short and he has a well trimmed goatee.
Donald has a degree from Fresno Pacific in Religion and Social Work. He has been working in conjunction with a church downtown. He helps youths in need and is rumored to be the next to take over as minister of the church. He offers his skills to the foundation and those of the Sanitarium.
Maxwell Stone
App: Max is not even 21 yet, he has long hair and often wears sandals. He’s a pretty good looking guy.
Max is still going to Fresno State, he’s studying biology. Max did not actually know any Lost directly; he was given his seat by his father who recently passed away. His father was married to a Flowering before he married Max’s mother. His father asked Max to take his place on his death bed, and though Max has no idea what he’s really involved in, he’s been helping the foundation and has learned that it is best not to ask questions when good is being done.
Jeremy Frasier
App: Jeremy is in his late 20’s. He often wears jeans and a docker shirt. He has blonde hair that frames his face.
Jeremy just graduated from Fresno State as a Veterinarian. He works at a No Kill animal shelter. Jeremy was raised by a Beast, and has always had a natural affinity for animals. He never knew what his “Mother” was, until he was older. His mother was killed during one of the many raids, and Jeremy has offered his services to all animals in need, and his medical knowledge at times to those of the Sanitarium.
Mathew Hardigan App: Mathew is a man in his early thirties who has kept his built after years of orderly work. He normally wears clean slacks and fine shirts when he makes it to the freehold.
Mathew was ensorcelled to Augustus and shortly after became good friends with him and quickly settled on top of the Board of Directors of the Foundation. He normally associated himself with the changelings of the Summer Court and worked hard with security of the Foundation building. At the announcement of the birth of his son, his involvement became less involved, but he remained in charge of the Board.
