  • William escaped from Arcadia some time ago, but has been searching for his "princess" through the Hedge for some time. He encountered a Goblin Market and learned his "princess" had been seen in a local freehold and emerged in search of her.

  • April 2008 - Encountered his "squire," Grimpen Mire, who joined him on his quest which ended in the reunion with his "princess," Angelina.
  • May 2008 - Presented his princess with a hedgespun dress for their wedding, then departed in search of Trakkar the Hunter.

  • Everyone thought William was just a figment of Angelina's imagination until he finally actually appeared.
  • William does not know what sex is. Grimpen Mire made a bet to that effect with Satrap Grim, and Grim relented after hearing the two lovers speak in their cartoonish, romantic way.
  • "Prince William" is nothing more than the Winter King, Cole, in disguise. This person appeared out of nowhere, after Angelina insisted that this person existed and would return to her. Cole changed his appearance to meet the poor woman's most precious delusion so as to better control her and thereby the Spring Court. The two men are never in the same place at the same time.
  • William's Clarity may be lower than even Angelina's.
